According to a statement released by the semi-official Fars news agency, Iran’s intelligence ministry announced the arrest of three Mossad operatives.

The statement did not disclose the nationality of the captured Mossad agents, but did indicate that they were apprehended in Iran’s southeastern region of Sistan-Baluchestan.

According to the report, the three captured spies were involved in “disseminating sensitive information and documents.”

Iranian news agency IRNA reports that further facts regarding the case would be provided at a later date.
