The Metropolitan Police said officials were called to reports of a truck crash on the motorway in Enfield at 11.15 am, and National Highways cautioned piece of the street was as yet shut down at 4.30 pm.

Miles of fixed traffic have been caught on camera by suburbanites.

Nobody was harmed in the occurrence, the Met said.

The power said: “Officials were called at around 11.15 am to the M25, just between intersection 24 and 25.

“A truck was accounted for to have been in a crash with the focal reservation and spilled cooking oil over the street.

“The M25 has been shut clockwise from intersection 23 to intersection 25.

“No reports of any wounds.

“Drivers are encouraged to keep away from the area.”

Public Highways said the accident included an HGV and a van.

The organization said: “The M25 stays shut somewhere in the range of J23 and J25.
