North Korea has successfully tested its new weapon, which will enhance its tactical strategies.

Country’s leader, Kim Jong-un watches the new missile launch.

It stopped its nuclear testing in 2017.

It blew up tunnels at its nuclear testing site in Punggye-ri, ostensibly as part of a diplomatic thaw with South Korea and the United States.

Currently, it is underway to restore the tunnels.

The North’s official KCNA news agency reported, “new-type tactical guided weapon… is of great significance in drastically improving the firepower of the frontline long-range artillery units and enhancing the efficiency in the operation of tactical nukes.”

It added that Mr. Kim had given “important instructions on further building up the defense capabilities and nuclear combat forces of the country”.

The military confirmed that the two missiles were launched from the North Korea into the sea, Saturday night.

The US was monitoring the situation.

According to experts, the timing of the test seems as a protest against US and South Korean operations.

North Korea has always criticized the rehearsals by the two.
