Russia lost over 20,800 soldiers in combat says General Staff

The estimated enemy combat casualties since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine have surpassed 20,800 people.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces announced in a Facebook post.

Tanks – 802, armoured combat vehicles – 2,063, artillery systems – 386, MLRS – 132, air defence means – 67, aircraft – 169, helicopters – 150, vehicles – 1,495, ships/boats – 8, fuel tanks – 76, operational and tactical UAVs – 158, special equipment – 27, and mobile SRBM systems – 4 are among the enemy’s total estimated losses from February 24 to April 19.

The computation is hampered by the high intensity of hostilities, therefore data on losses is being clarified.

Russian troops have been damaging major infrastructure facilities and massively shelling residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages with artillery, multiple rocket launchers, and ballistic missiles since February 24.

In Ukraine, martial law has been declared and a general mobilization has been announced.
