UK police arrests two teenagers over cybercrime charges

After a week of arresting seven people, in the investigation due to cyberattacks done by the Lapsus$ hacking group. The authorities in U.K. have charged two teenagers with multiple cyber crime offenses.

During a statement on Friday, detective inspector Michael O’ Sullivan from the London Police said that two teenagers were behind the cyber attacks aged 16 and 17 are charged with three counts of unauthorized access to a computer with the intent to impair the reliability of data, one count of fraud by false representation, and one count of unauthorized access to a computer with intent to hinder access to data. The 16-year-old has also been charged with one count of causing a computer to perform a function to secure unauthorized access to a program.
