Ukraine’s prime minister highlights the country’s financial requirements, while speaking with US House Speaker

US House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, and Ukrainian Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal, had a few words on Capitol Hill in Washington on Thursday.

Shmyhal said that Ukrainians felt great support from the US President Biden, and his people.

He discussed a number of financial needs, including for displaced people, and Ukrainian refugees.

Saying, “we need money, we need technologies, we need support.”

HE added that people are suffering in areas close to battlegrounds. They need help, as they don’t have food, water, or electricity.

Pelosi alluded to President Joe Biden’s announcement that he will ask Congress to approve a second supplemental financial package for Ukraine.

She said, “We want to do more.”

US House Speaker praised Biden’s leadership, saying, he has “been a unifier.”

She denounced Russia’s actions, saying that words are inadequate to describe the occupation.
