On Monday 18th April, the Russian army launched five missiles at Lviv. According to Ukrinform, the city mayor, Andriy Sadovyi, stated this on Telegram.

He claims that the relevant services have already arrived on the site, and details are being worked out.

Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the regional military administration, stated there were four missile attacks but didn’t go into detail. People should stay in the shelters, he encouraged.

Several Ukrainian cities have been bombarded by Russian forces, notably Lviv in the west, which had mainly escaped unharmed until now.

According to local officials, Russia plans to restrict access to the beleaguered port city starting from Monday.
