Ukrainian Mayor: 180,000 people are waiting to be evacuated from Mariupol

Ukrainian Mayor, Vadym Boychenko, said that up to 180,000 people are waiting to be evacuated from the Ukrainian city of Mariupol, on Wednesday.

Deputy Ukrainian Prime Minister, Iryna Vereshchuk, announced that Russian forces blocked evacuation buses, owing to which, no corridors were operating

Boychenko said that a total of 150,000 people have been evacuated from Mariupol so far.

The port city is Russia’s main target and has been destroyed through continuous shelling.
