A missile hits a town in the Donetsk region

Ukrainian officials said a missile hit the village of Bakhmut in the Donetsk area on Tuesday.

It indicated that Russian forces may be extending the range of their attacks.

According to Donetsk regional police, the missile strike demolished a five-story structure in the town.

A 9-year-old child was critically hurt and one person was killed.

Police says, “The exact number of victims is being clarified.”

Bakhmut is an important military hub for Ukraine, and its hospital cares for wounded soldiers.

The front lines around Popasna are around 12 miles away.

He claimed that strikes on Tuesday morning had destroyed a school and several infrastructural facilities in Bakhmut.

Several locations along the front lines, including Toretsk and Ocheretyn, had experienced severe fire, according to Kyrylenko.

“The Russians do not stop the mass shelling along the entire front line from Vuhledar to Bakhmut,” said Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk region military administration.
