Covid cases in Singapore

On Friday, Singapore reported 3,830 new cases of COVID-19, increasing the total number of cases to 1,290,046.

According to figures issued by the Ministry of Health, 418 new cases were discovered by PCR (polymerase chain reaction) testing and 3,412 through ART (antigen rapid test) tests.

There were 404 local transmissions and 14 imported infections among the PCR-confirmed cases. There were 3,306 local transmissions and 106 imported infections among the ART-confirmed patients with mild symptoms and low risk, respectively.

There are presently 323 cases in hospitals, including seven of them in intensive care units.

One additional patient has died as a result of COVID-19 infection complications, increasing the total number of people who have died to 1,383, according to the ministry.
