Edinburgh woman dies in collision with car

A lady was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Edinburgh. A silver Vauxhall Zafira struck the 62-year-old pedestrian on Marionville Road in the Meadowbank neighborhood of the city.

The event occurred at about 10:50 a.m. on Friday. The emergency services were called.

The woman was brought to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, but she could not be saved. She passed away on Saturday morning.

The car’s 33-year-old driver was detained in connection with the event and then released pending further investigation.
