Many Black women in America have already been denied abortion due to restrictive abortion laws; which will become even more difficult if the landmark Roe v. Wade decision is overturned.

Women have long faced insurmountable expenses and technical barriers in getting reproductive health care in the Black Belt — the Southern states where the shadows of slavery resound in legislation that maintains political and social inequity.
