German chancellor calls on Putin to end Ukrainian crisis

German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, has called to Russian President Vladimir Putin to cease Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the “senseless killing” that is taking place on the ground.

Scholz said that what matters is “creating a brighter future together, not by waging battles against each other, but by making economic progress and collaborative development feasible.”

He also called on Putin to “withdraw his troops from Ukraine.”

He added that “borders should not be changed through the use of violence.”
