Lithuania to withdraw its ambassador to Russia

According to a new presidential decree, Lithuania will withdraw its ambassador to Russia on June 1.

No one has been named to fill the position.

The move comes after the Baltic country expelled Russia’s envoy on April 4.

At the time, the Lithuanian government stated its intention to reduce diplomatic representation between the two countries.
