Newlywed man injured as wedding gift explodes

According to India Today, a newlywed guy and his three-year-old nephew were seriously injured when one of the wedding gifts burst.

On May 12, the man, identified as Latish Gavit, married. The event was attended by many individuals, including friends and relatives, who gave the pair gifts.

One of the presents blew up in Gavit’s face on Tuesday, injuring his eyes and rupturing his wrist. In addition, he suffered severe burns to his upper body.

Gavit’s toddler nephew was also hurt while sitting close. Both were rushed to a private hospital for medical attention.

Raju Dansukh, the bride’s sister’s ex-boyfriend, is said to have sent the present.

Police filed a complaint against the suspect based on the family’s account.
