Ormskirk ice cream vendor ‘shaken’ by van brick assault

In the Ormskirk area of Lancashire, an ice-cream vendor was “shaken” after two adolescents hurled a brick through her van window.

Lancashire Police said a group of teenagers was reported for making a disturbance at a McDonald’s restaurant in Two Saints Retail Park of Ormskirk at about 17:00 BST on Saturday.

According to a police spokeswoman, two of the gang then walked to Coronation Park and assaulted the parked vehicle.

He said that the merchant had “lost earnings and been left disturbed.”

Appealing for information, he added that the two youths had run off in the direction of a nearby cemetery.

He said the pair were described as a male with dark hair and both wearing black trousers and jumpers, one of which was “royal blue” and the other “light”.
