Ukraine’s martial law and general mobilization have been extended by the Verkhovna Rada for another 90 days, till August 23. On Telegram, Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak stated this.

“Until August 23, the Verkhovna Rada has extended martial law,” the lawmaker wrote.

The Verkhovna Rada, he claims, has also prolonged general mobilization until August 23.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24. On the same day, the country was placed under martial law, which was set to run until March 26. It was then extended for another 30 days, until April 25, and then again until May 25.

On the same day, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a proclamation establishing national mobilization. It takes place within 90 days of the decree’s entry into force.
