Negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation have been paused for the time being.

“The bargaining process is, objectively speaking, on hold. Why? There are numerous explanations for this. Russia lacks the critical ability to comprehend today’s global processes and its [Russia’s] tremendously harmful role “According to sources, Mykhailo Podolyak, Adviser to the Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine, told the media.

Second, Podolyak claims that Russia does not recognize that the conflict is no longer being fought according to Russian rules, schedules, or plans in any way, while Ukraine’s professional resistance continues to grow.

Russia will not achieve any of its objectives, according to a presidential adviser.

Third, he pointed out that Russia cannot abandon propaganda in the domestic market, so the political establishment is reluctant to say the reality, which is that the conflict must be ended on radically different terms than those originally announced.

Russian lawmakers, according to the adviser to the President’s Office, desire to prolong negotiations as part of their domestic propaganda.

“Finally, the most important point. Russia is desperate to see all of the international economic penalties in effect and to fully comprehend its army’s true “combat capability,” as well as to regain its reputation. This, in my opinion, is the Russian strategic goal: all or nothing. As a result, preventing the fall of this weird ‘kingdom’ makes no sense,” Podolyak says.

According to him, the Ukrainian delegation no longer views the decision “to withdraw or not to withdraw” from the negotiation process as a simple matter of expediency and specificity at this point.

“Political conversations will continue if there is detail,” the presidential adviser continued.

On March 29, the Ukrainian and Russian delegations met in Istanbul for the final round of face-to-face discussions. Following that, the Ukrainian delegation presented a variety of measures to resolve the conflict, including the signing of an international agreement on Ukraine’s security guarantees.
