Russia’s Foreign Minister stated on Monday that Moscow will study offers to re-establish connections with the West and assess if they are necessary, but that the country’s priority will be to strengthen relations with China.
According to a translation on the foreign ministry’s website, “If they (the West) want to offer something in terms of resuming relations, then we will seriously consider whether we will need it or not.”
He also stated that Moscow’s current priority is to strengthen ties with China.
“Now that the West has taken a ‘dictator’s position’, our economic ties with China will grow even faster,” Lavrov added.
