Russian military claims Ukrainian paratroopers have likely killed a Russian general

A Russian general has “most likely” been killed by Ukrainian infantry soldiers, the country’s military has said.

Significant General Kanamat Botashev is probably passed away after a plane he was steering was shot somewhere near Ukrainian soldiers, it added.

The 63-year-old would be the most elevated positioning military pilot to kick the bucket in the conflict in Ukraine.

BBC Russia detailed that Botashev had recently resigned and had not flown a plane in 10 years.
