According to the self-declared Donetsk Individuals’s Republic (DPR), 517 people were evacuated from the besieged city of Mariupol to its center on Wednesday.

There were 61 children among the evacuees, according to the report.

However, it is unknown how many were evacuated from the Azovstal steel complex.

The stated figures haven’t been verified yet.

People departing Mariupol are inspected at a tented receiving facility set up by the DPR at Bezimenne.

The facilities have been described by Ukrainian officials as a filtration center.

They say that people are frequently exposed to abuse and harassment, as well as extended delays.

According to the DPR, the Ministry of Emergency Situations run the Bezimenne center.

It has had over 27,000 individuals since the beginning of March.
