According to the Kharkiv area police, a convoy of civilian vehicles attempting to flee combat near Kharkiv was fired, killing numerous persons.

Others have vanished.

Police lost communication with the convoy a few days earlier, according to Serhiy Bolvinov, chief of the investigation department.

Staryi Saltiv has seen severe action in recent days as Ukrainian forces prepare a counter-offensive against Russian.

The convoy was attempting to reach Ukrainian-controlled area at the moment.

“Due to the ongoing combat, it was not possible to reach the place of the column,” Bolvinov said.

The convoy’s wreckage was discovered on Friday, he said.

When investigators arrived on the scene, they discovered a broken enemy tank as well as the bodies of two Russian servicemen.

Six bullet-riddled automobiles were discovered 300 meters away.

According to Bolvinov, four bodies were discovered in the automobiles, and they were seeming to be some of the civilians who had been in the convoy.

He stated that the remains of a 13-year-old girl had been positively identified.

He provided no information regarding what happened to the other vehicles in the convoy.
