UAE on Eid ul Fitr: Baby born shawal on the first day at 12 a.m

A Pakistani couple received an extra special Eid ul Fitr present on the first day of Shawwal (Monday) when the clock 12 a.m for a newborn baby at Abu Dhabi’s Burjeel Hospital.

At 12 a.m., Saba Irfan, 25, and Irfan Khan, 35, welcomed their third child, Shahmeer Khan.

The baby boy weighed 2.70 kg and was delivered by Dr. Fady Georges Hachem, a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology at Burjeel Hospital.

“We are thrilled to welcome our newest family member. His arrival has doubled the joy on this auspicious day,” Khan said, adding that he considers himself fortunate and intends to give his child a happy future.

The tearful father also praised Dr. Hachem for delivering the baby.

It is a great privilege for us as doctors to be the first ones to hold these babies as they come into the world. The baby’s birth on a special day adds to the joy of their family. We are delighted and wish baby Shahmeer and his family the best,” said Dr. Hachem.
