Ukraine rejects President of France Emmanuel Macron’s proposal for a European political community for nations that are not formal members of the European Union.

According to the source, Zelensky stated this in an interview with the Dutch news site Nieuwsuur.

Answering a journalist’s query on whether or not it’s appropriate to use “Macron presented a “alternative to EU membership,” to which he replied, “No, I don’t think [it’s acceptable]… It isn’t required. We simply require assistance from these countries; we do not desire an alternative.”
