According to Ukraine’s prosecutor general, some 13,000 investigations into alleged war crimes by Russian military are underway.

Russia has denied committing war crimes since the charges first surfaced.

Sergeant Vadim Shishimarin, a 21-year-old Russian soldier, was sentenced to life in jail earlier today for killing an unarmed citizen.
