A man in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, has won many hearts with his courageous gesture of saving a three-year-old daughter from falling from a height of at least 100 feet.

The small girl’s mother had gone shopping when she used cushions and toys to climb out the window. As a result, she was observed hanging from the window, clinging to it only with her fingertips.

Shontakbaev Sabit, the Good Samaritan, was apparently on his way to work when he noticed a crowd staring up in despair at the toddler.

A man can be seen stepping out of the window directly below the one from which the toddler was dangling in the video. Sabit urged the girl to let go so he could catch her.

Sabit yanked on her leg for a few seconds before releasing it, then seen rapidly capturing her and giving the child over to someone waiting inside.

According to the Independent, Kazakhstan’s ministry of emergency circumstances labeled him a hero and awarded him a medal.
