In Russia, firefighters narrowly avoided death when their aircraft lost speed suddenly and crashed to the ground.

The Polar Airlines Mi8 hit a tree and horribly tumbled on the ground, injuring nine passengers seriously.

The 20 firefighters and three crew members set out to valiantly battle raging forest fires in some of the most isolated parts of the world.

However, after escaping the vehicle, everyone somehow survived the collision.

Dramatic film depicts the accident scene, as the helicopter is seen lying all folded up with its tail severed.

Nikolayev continued, referring to the dire state of aviation in cash-strapped Russia: “The air company’s aviation equipment is old, and this applies not only to Yakutia but also to other [Russian] areas.”

“All of the recent aeroplane accidents involved over 30 year vintage planes.

“Even the smallest error or human component can cause a catastrophe. Safety of the public should come first.

It’s not immediately known if the accident’s outcome or its cause was the vehicle’s collision with a tree.

The largest and coldest area of Russia, Yakutia, has experienced three aviation accidents in the past nine days.
