In Bangladesh, 36 people have died in less than a week because of the flooding caused by heavy rains and runoff from hillsides.

As per the daily flood report provided by the country’s Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Tuesday, between June 17 and June 21, 36 people perished in 27 out of 64 districts due to the flooding.

The survey revealed that drowning, snake bites, and lightning were the leading causes of death in flood-affected areas.
