Ex-boyfriend killed woman with a knife and then admitted to police that he “felt like killing someone.”
Her domineering ex-boyfriend killed a woman with a knife, telling authorities that he “felt like killing someone.”
After the two had broken up months earlier, Abid Mahmood stormed into the home of Tamby Dowling, 36, brandishing a knife.
Following that, the 35-year-old “monster” stabbed her eight times before getting into a waiting cab, according to MEN.
I can hear screaming in my brain, pray for me, brother, he said chillingly to the driver.
Later, Mahmood surrendered to police and gave them the bloody knife he had used to stab Tamby.
After pleading guilty to manslaughter on the basis of diminished responsibility, he is currently being held in a secure hospital.
Mahmood had “severe” mental health issues, including schizophrenia disorder, and “begged” to be sectioned before to the horror, according to evidence presented at Manchester Crown Court.
The pair broke up in March of last year because of his “escalating” mental health problems, the court was informed.
Mahmood, who had prior convictions for crimes involving violence and drug use, called Tamby 17 times before killing her.
On November 8, he showed up to her Oldham house and was there for for 2.5 minutes.
Police and paramedics arrived quickly, but Tamby unfortunately couldn’t be saved and was pronounced dead on the spot.
Her sister Stacey Hawley paid homage by saying: “My sister was a lovely, compassionate, and caring individual who would go above and beyond for her friends.
I’ll never forget hearing my father sob and wail while my mother was telling me that Tamby was dead.
While another friend called the murder “pure premeditated wickedness,”
Added Shalina Miah: “One of the most generous, fun-loving, and silly persons you’d ever meet was Tamby. Without even trying, she could make you laugh out loud.
