According to The Sun, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle turned down an invitation to a royal family reception at Guildhall following the Queen’s Jubilee thanksgiving service in order to avoid running with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, according to sources, left a reception hosted for the royal family and returned to their UK home, Frogmore Cottage, shortly after attending the service at St Paul’s Cathedral.

“Harry and Meghan were glad to swing by Clarence House to see Charles on the way to St Paul’s,” a Palace source said of Harry and Meghan’s absence.
