Numerous pro-abortion activists demonstrate at Johnson Square. Protesters were analysing what had occurred and what would happen next on Friday. On what some are calling one of the worst days for women’s rights in history; emotions are running high at Johnson Square.

Protester Lisa Rundstrom claims that there has been a “setback in our rights in general; in our autonomy…you feel it’s under threat.”

The demonstrators claim that they are more worried about future generations of women’s reproductive rights.

Rundstrom declares, “You know we’re going to do everything we can to fight for our rights; and the rights of our children. “You know I’m not even that worried about my own reproductive health right now. All women, including my own children; and their offspring.

Protesters assert that abortions continue to happen despite the highest court verdict.

Another protester called Elizabeth Penniman claims, “Even in places where abortions were illegal… they still went on. They are frequently unclean and hazardous.

Protesters claim that now that the decision has been officially overturned; voting is more crucial than ever.

Penniman says, “I wouldn’t say I’m in shock. We’re simply registering voters and attempting to come up with solutions; to help us get over this. Protest all you want, but elections are how decisions come to life.
