When a JET2 passenger requested a meal during the flight and got something that didn’t resemble the picture, they were taken aback.

On their trip to Marbella, “teganinsleyox,” a TikTok user who goes by that user name, ordered a sandwich with cheese and rocket.

The sandwich that really arrived wasn’t as full as the photo in the Jet2 menu suggested.

Instead, the sandwich was mostly made up of salad with a thin layer of cheese underneath.

“Jet2 did us dirty with our food on the plane,” read the caption of the video.

We hadn’t eaten in five hours because of the security and check-in lines, so we shoved a tube of Pringles in the bread because we were so hungry, she said on her account.

Many more people posted their own horrible airline meals, frequently making comparisons to the food at the Fyre Festival.

On a Jet2 flight to Greece, a passenger reported: “I requested a cheese and pickle one and there was one slither of cheese and the tiniest piece of pickle. I’m still depressed.

Another person commented: “I once received a cheese and ham toastie that was more like a warm sandwich with a slice of Kraft cheese.

Others, on the other hand, were less understanding. One of them stated, “Definition of first world problems, you could have taken food to the airport!”

“We’re happy to give an award-winning experience from the minute guests start their vacations with us, including our in-flight food and drinks,” a Jet2 representative said.

“Customers often give us positive feedback about our in-flight meals, and we would want to apologise to the customer for any trouble this one time may have caused. We’ll talk to our provider about it.

A traveller on EasyJet was startled last month after forking over £5 for the “worst airline meal ever.”

When a baguette with roasted vegetables and houmous was ordered for Alex, he was travelling from Paris to London Gatwick.

The Londoner received his airline meal, which was incredibly devoid of any filling at all, and couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
