Xiaomi India announces a partnership with YouTube, a first for the tech firm. Xiaomi’s Mi and Redmi series smartphones now come with a free three-month trial of YouTube Premium.

YouTube Premium gives access to YouTube Music Premium, no advertising before or during videos. Moreover, the ability to download videos for offline viewing, and the ability to watch videos in PIP format in the background.

Any Xiaomi user who never tried a YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, YouTube Red, or Google Play Music trial is eligible, as long as they own one of the following devices:

The offer will expire on January 31, 2023, and anyone who acquired these gadgets must activate their free YouTube Premium subscription before February 28, 2023. YouTube will automatically charge INR129 ($1.65/€1.55) per month when the promotional time ends.
