On Saturday, Russian shelling “destroyed” the All Saints church in Sviatohirsk, eastern Ukraine. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky told.

In a Facebook post, Zelensky stated, “It was initially demolished during the Soviet era.” “It was afterwards reconstructed.” As a result, the Russian troops set fire to it.”

He explained, “The occupants know exactly which object is being shelled.” “It doesn’t matter to them what they turn into ruins.”

Ukraine petitions UNESCO to “remove Russia from the organization’s membership.” It “destroyed so many historical, cultural and social sites in Europe since World War II.”

“We expect a logical and fair response from the UN and UNESCO,” Zelensky said.
