The new Prime Minister of the UK gave a nod to King Charles III, who just took the throne after Queen Elizabeth II.

On May 8, the new monarch of Britain will be crowned at Westminster Abbey, and people all over the country will celebrate the event.

Rishi just said that the day was going to be a holiday. “The coronation of a new monarch is a unique moment for our country.”

“In recognition of this historic occasion, I am pleased to announce an additional bank holiday for the whole United Kingdom next year,” he added.
