In his statement to the House of Commons, Rishi Sunak indicated that, according to British intelligence analysis, the explosion at Gaza’s Al-Ahli hospital is likely a result of a missile or a component thereof launched from within Gaza towards Israel.

He also expressed condolences for the victims in Israel and acknowledged the suffering of Palestinians, referring to them as “victims of Hamas.”

The UK government plans to provide an additional £20 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza, doubling its previous funding. Sunak commenced his statement by mentioning the leaders he met during his recent visit to the Middle East.

He emphasized that Israel is currently in a state of mourning and remains under attack, emphasizing that the threat is not yet resolved.

Furthermore, Sunak mentioned his meetings with the families of individuals held hostage in Gaza, emphasizing his commitment to assisting in their release.
