Climate activist Greta Thunberg is set to appear at London’s Westminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday, facing charges of a public order offence related to an environmental protest in central London last month.

The 20-year-old was apprehended by police on October 17 after participating in a demonstration that obstructed the entrances to a hotel hosting an oil and gas conference.

Thunberg has been charged by London police and could face a fine of up to £2,500 ($3,069) if found guilty known globally for her climate activism. Before her arrest in the UK, she faced detentions or removals from protests in Sweden, Norway, and Germany this year.
