Unlock Your Future: UAE Launches Green Residence Visa for Freelancers
Embrace the freedom of the UAE Green Visa, designed for those who seek to relocate without employment constraints.
This unique visa grants individuals the power to sponsor themselves for an impressive 5-year period, eliminating the need for a UAE national or employer sponsorship.
According to the Abu Dhabi Residents Office (ADRO), the purpose of introducing this innovative visa is to enhance labor market flexibility and attract exceptional global talent to the UAE. Beyond offering a long-term residency solution, the Green Visa provides additional advantages for the visa holder’s family, surpassing the benefits of a standard residence visa.
Freelancers, self-employed and skilled employees can apply for a Green visa.
Eliminating the requirement for employment, the UAE Green Visa opens the door to residency in the UAE. It extends sponsorship privileges to sons up to the age of 25 and unmarried daughters of any age. Additionally, the Green Visa provides a generous grace period of six months following the conclusion of its 5-year validity.
Freelancers and self-employed individuals must present a freelance/self-employment permit issued by the Ministry of Human Resources.
