As rains fall over various emirates, UAE residents are currently experiencing an overcast day. Social media videos depict heavy rains in Sharjah and Dubai.

In one car-captured video, a flock of birds comfortably settles on a stretch of grass beside a road in Sharjah. This season sees the migration of various bird species to the UAE due to increased rain and lower temperatures.

Additional videos showcase vehicles navigating rain-soaked roads under grey, cloudy skies.

Earlier today, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) in the UAE issued orange and yellow alerts for rain in certain parts of the country. Residents have been urged to exercise caution and follow instructions from authorities while the alert is in effect, which is until 5:30 pm today.
