On Sunday, an Indian passenger plane crashed in the Afghan province of Badakhshan’s Zibak area.

According to the Badakhshan Police Command, the passenger plane vanished from sight last night and crashed in the high mountains of the province’s Zibak district’s “Artillery” area.

Afghanistan’s TOLO News, quoting Zabihullah Amiri, the chairman of Badakhshan province’s Department of Information and Culture, reported that an Indian passenger plane crashed in the highlands of Topkhana near the districts of Kuran-Munjan and Zibak.

He announced that an investigation team had been dispatched to the scene.

According to a news agency, the aircraft that crashed in Afghanistan was a charter flight from India to Moscow, possibly carrying six passengers instead of an Indian aircraft.
