In a show of commendable reciprocity, China and Switzerland have agreed to relax visa requirements for each other.

China has declared that citizens from Switzerland will now enjoy visa-free entry, as part of a mutual agreement. In return, Switzerland has committed to providing increased visa facilitation for Chinese citizens and businesses investing in the country.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Swiss Confederation President Viola Amherd made this announcement during their discussions, expressing a shared dedication to enhancing people-to-people exchanges, particularly in anticipation of the upcoming 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year.

This announcement precedes a gathering of business leaders and policymakers in Davos, where Premier Li Qiang is anticipated as a prominent guest.
