The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) has mandated the shutdown of ‘Healthy Dream Food Cafe’ – Abu Dhabi Branch 1, holding Commercial License No CN-4031247, due to several recurrent breaches of food safety requirements. Authorities assert that the cafe’s actions violated food-related laws in Abu Dhabi, posing a threat to public health.

Adafsa clarified that the administrative closure, prompted by a food control report, was a result of repeated violations concerning food safety requirements. The cafe, ‘Healthy Dream Food Cafe,’ received three closure warnings, indicating its non-compliance with health standards and essential food safety requirements. The presence of insects in the food preparation areas further emphasized the necessity of the closure decision.

The authority affirmed that the administrative closure will persist as long as the reasons for it exist. Resumption of activity is contingent on correcting violations, meeting all operating requirements, and eliminating the grounds for closure.

Implementation of lockdown:

The Abu Dhabi Food Safety Authority underscored that the implementation of lockdown measures and the detection of observed abuses are integral components of inspection efforts to enhance the food safety system in Abu Dhabi. This emphasizes the oversight role in ensuring all facilities comply with food safety requirements. The Authority highlighted that its inspectors conduct periodic inspections of all facilities, irrespective of their nature and food products, to ensure adherence to food safety standards.

The authority urges the public to actively participate by reporting any violations observed in food establishments or any suspicions regarding the food contents. They can do so by contacting the toll-free number 800555 provided by the Abu Dhabi government. Inspectors will take prompt action to ensure safe and secure food for all members of the community in Abu Dhabi.
