Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, will release 484 inmates this Ramadan through a pardon. These prisoners have been granted clemency based on meeting certain conditions, including demonstrating good conduct.

Maj-Gen Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, expressed gratitude to Sheikh Dr Sultan for the gesture and voiced hope that it can assist the prisoners in leading good, productive lives. He added that the move was also intended to bring happiness to the convicts’ families during the holy month.

Earlier today, Ajman also announced the release of 314 inmates, making it the third emirate to do so for this Ramadan. Additionally, President Sheikh Mohamed pardoned 735 prisoners.
