TEHRAN: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian died in a helicopter crash on Sunday. The funeral prayers of the president and foreign minister will be held today.

According to reports, the preparations are underway to pay respect and bury the martyrs of the crash in Iran.

The bodies of late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his colleagues will be moved from Tabriz to Tehran and their funeral prayers will also be offered in Qom.

A prayer ceremony for the martyrs will also be held at Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum in Tehran tonight, and the funeral prayers of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his colleagues will be performed in Tehran tomorrow.

Foreign delegations will be taking part in the funeral prayer of the deceased which will be led by the Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The late President Ebrahim Raisi will be laid to rest in Mashhad on Thursday night, however, a national holiday was declared in Iran yesterday and all exams held this week were also cancelled.
