Bill Gates, Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist, has reportedly donated $50 million to Future Forward, a nonprofit organization that supports U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.

The organization is a key fundraising group backing Harris, though Gates has not officially endorsed her for the presidency.

The report mentioned that Gates has expressed concern privately about the possibility of Donald Trump being reelected. His philanthropic group, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, also shares worries about a potential Trump presidency.

However, Gates clarified that he is open to working with either candidate. Emphasizing his bipartisan stance, Gates stated, “I support candidates who show a clear commitment to improving healthcare, reducing poverty, and combating climate change both in the U.S. and globally.”

He noted the exceptional significance of the upcoming election, considering its impact on Americans and vulnerable populations worldwide.

Gates had previously shared his perspective on political donations in 2019, saying, “I choose not to make large political donations, even though it can be tempting. Others may choose to do so, but I prefer not to wield that kind of influence.”
