Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, met with acting Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya and two other senior members of the Palestinian group in Tehran on Saturday.

During the meeting, Khamenei told the delegation that their resistance had led to Israel’s defeat, which he described as a setback for the United States as well. “You did not let them achieve any of their objectives,” he stated, reaffirming Iran’s support for Hamas in its conflict with Israel.

The Hamas leaders were in Tehran to extend congratulations to Khamenei on the anniversary of the 1979 Iranian revolution. They also expressed gratitude for Iran’s ongoing support.

The delegation, which included Mohammad Darwish, head of Hamas’ leadership council, and senior Hamas official Nizar Awadallah, briefed Khamenei on the latest developments in Gaza and the West Bank, highlighting what they described as “victories and successes.”

“We come before you today with pride,” al-Hayya was quoted as saying.

Khamenei also dismissed US threats against Iran, stating that such actions have no impact on the Iranian people’s resolve.
