Israel agrees to ceasefire with Iran, will ‘respond forcefully’ to any violation, Israel

Tel Aviv: After Iran, Israel has also announced its acceptance of a US-proposed bilateral ceasefire with Iran, while reaffirming its commitment to respond forcefully to any breaches of the truce.

The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that Israeli officials, including the defense minister, IDF chief of staff, and Mossad chief, convened to report the successful completion of Operation Rising Lion.

According to the statement, Israeli millitary has neutralized dual threats from Iran—both nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities.

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) established complete air control over Tehran’s skies, inflicted severe damage on Iranian military leadership, and targeted key Iranian government sites. The Prime Minister’s Office expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for his support, emphasizing the coordinated effort in eliminating the Iranian nuclear threat.

The statement also noted that even in the final days of the operation, Israel continued to strike regime targets in Tehran, eliminate hundreds of Basij operatives, and dismantle oppressive regime infrastructure.

Following these military successes, Israel has agreed to the ceasefire proposed by President Trump, who earlier announced that a truce would soon take effect. The ceasefire comes amid tense moments, including reports of Iranian missile strikes that killed at least four civilians in Beersheba.

Earlier, Iran has also announced the start of a ceasefire. Following the announcement, civilians in Iran took to the streets to celebrate and expressed their joy.
