Qatar’s PM suggest ceasefire between Iran and Israel

Web Desk: Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has secured Tehran’s agreement to the US-proposed ceasefire between Israel and Iran.

The negotiations followed a phone call held early Tuesday between the Qatari official and Iranian representatives, shortly after Iran’s recent strikes on a US air base in Qatar.

According to the sources briefed on the matter, the discussions were initiated after US President Donald Trump informed Qatar’s Emir that Israel had expressed willingness to accept a ceasefire and requested Doha’s assistance in persuading Tehran to do the same.

The Iranian delegation reportedly agreed to the US-backed proposal during the talks.

President Trump congratulated all parties, declaring, “An agreement has been reached for a complete ceasefire between Israel and Iran.”
