Washington: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio engaged in discussions with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding the ongoing situation in the Middle East.

The talks focused on regional stability and the importance of peaceful resolutions amidst escalating tensions.

During a press briefing in Washington, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce highlighted that Secretary Rubio reaffirmed the United States’ stance that Iran must not develop or acquire nuclear weapons.

Both leaders emphasized the need for cooperative efforts to achieve a durable peace between Israel and Iran, underscoring the region’s critical importance to global security.

Additionally, it was noted that Secretary Rubio had recently reached out to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for a direct conversation.
