Doha: Questions have emerged about possible US involvement in the Israeli strike that targeted Hamas leaders in Doha, but American officials have refused to answer.

The attack took place while Hamas leaders were meeting to discuss a Gaza ceasefire plan proposed by former US President Donald Trump.

Observers described the strike as a dangerous precedent, saying that targeting one side during peace talks threatens future negotiations. According to reports, the operation was carried out with the support of Israel’s internal security agency, Shin Bet. The Israeli military claimed the Hamas leaders targeted in the strike had been guiding the group’s activities for many years.

The incident has raised serious concerns for peace in the Middle East. Following the attack, the US advised its citizens in the region to remain in safe locations, while avoiding any direct comment on the strike itself.

Global reaction has been swift. Protests broke out in several countries, including London, where demonstrators strongly condemned Israel’s actions and warned of escalating tensions across the region.
